Spanish Hatha Yoga:
Hatha yoga class taught primarily in Spanish for beginning and native speakers.
All levels in yoga are welcome. Class is taught tailored to the needs and abilities of the class. Props are provided.
February 26th, March 5th and March 12th Attend all 3 days or just drop-in. *Depending on the level of interest, on-going classes may soon be forming.*
$8.00-$15.00 each class, no one turned away for lack of funds
Irene Hernandez is originally from Spain and is fluent in both Spanish and English. She is a recent graduate of the Iyengar Institute of San Francisco Teacher Training program, and has experience teaching yoga in Spanish as a guest instructor through the activities of the Women&Mac226;s Initiative.

Cost: $40 per person for both days.
No partner necessary, wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
Beginner Level: Learn the basics of salsa in this 3 hour, 2 day series. Be ready to dance in any socials setting or just brush up on your basic dance skills. Basic salsa footwork patterns, connection, balance, body movement, and partnering patterns will be taught.
Intermediate Level: Move beyond the basics in this 3 hour pattern and footwork packed workshop. Continue to improve on balance, connection, and partner work while learning more complex footwork and spin combinations.
Recommended: Basic salsa dance experience. Should know basic time step, left turn/inside turn, right turn/inside turn, and cross body lead.
About the instructor: Tara Acevedo has been dancing since the age of 5 taking ballet, jazz, and tap dance classes. In her early 20's she discovered salsa/mambo which became her ultimate joy and passion. She was a member of the Latin Symbolics, SF premier dance company, directed by Ava Apple. Her philosopy is that dance is for EveryBODY! No matter your size or age, you can dance. She brings her relaxed and patient attitude to all her classes so that her students can learn as effectively as possible in a non-intimidating environment.
