Upaya Center for Wellbeing, is a 501 (c) (3) charitable nonprofit holistic health center. We are in the process of implementing a low cost clinic, scheduled to open January 2004. The clinic provides comprehensive holistic health care services to under-served and low-income communities in Alameda County at reduced rates. Health scholarships will be made available to qualified participants, reducing their out of pocket co-pay costs by significant amounts. Some clients will be eligible to receive their care for free.

Holistic health practitioners will work in collaboration to provide quality preventive, supportive and acute health care services to low income individuals and families who otherwise would not be able to afford such services. State of California licensed “portal of entry” doctors will serve as gatekeepers providing appropriate recommendations for complementary care based on patient needs and knowledge of collaborative effect for optimal healing outcome. Perinatal, pediatric and adult care are available.
